The Northern Tour is an event where a group of ridiculously bad golfers and punters (but quite good drinkers) spend the week after the Melbourne Cup somewhere on the Murray river chasing the elusive white ball around.

Dropout rumours
Initial rumours are beginning to come in concerning two of our usual quorum. Mr Colwyn Simpson and Big Mike from Scotland are both looking unlikely starters at the moment. More to follow when confirmations are available.
I'm thinking of making a Northern Tour comeback after 3 years on the sidelines - where & when exactly is it being held this year, & who is the handicapper?? - I expect a decent handicap after not having played a round of golf since 2004!
Ahhh, Terry Woodhouse of the Kyneton Woodhouses. I see. Well, to answer your questions - the tour for 2007 will be held at the same venue as last year, the Rich River Golf club - for more information please see the links somewhere else in this blog.
The handicapper and all around tour organisation guru is non other than Mr Tingate who's details I am assuming you already have.
I would guess that coming back after a long spell will mean that you shall be treated basically as a newcomer and handicapped out of it. This, however, is best left to the handicapper (who I'm sure will as always - note to self, it's always a good idea to butter up the handicapper - do a sensational job).
